Superyacht charter starts where normal yachting math breaks. Above 50-60 meters the crew grows to 10-15, the toys can include helicopters, and weekly base rates run $300,000 to well past $1 million in peak season.
Costs scale with systems, not just length. Stabilizers, dynamic positioning, full-beam master suites, all need crew and maintenance. APA at 30-40% of a $500,000 base fee is $150,000-200,000 of running money for one week. Nobody blinks. That is the tier.
The experience changes too. At this size the yacht is the destination: cinema rooms, beach clubs, spas, chefs from starred restaurants. Ports like Monaco, St. Barths, and Porto Cervo exist partly to serve these boats.
Almost no one books a 60m boat online. These charters run through specialist brokers, often 9-12 months out, with contracts, preference sheets, and APA wires. The broker's commission comes from the owner, so the advice is free to you, but the good brokers are booked solid in season.
Delivery fees can apply if the yacht must relocate for your dates. On a boat this size, repositioning is priced accordingly, so fixed itineraries cost less than custom ones.
Absurd money, absurd boat. The market for it is real and booked out.
